Chicken Butcher Day

Here's the deal. I have been fascinated with self-sufficient farming/ community sufficiency for years now. For as long as I can remember I have been the weirdo who wanted to cook, can, garden, and raise my own food. I truly believe that quality is important, and it seems that more and more these days the food in the grocery store is either sky high in price or sub-par quality. A great way to know what is going into your body is to raise or grow it yourself. Not only do you add a skill to your back pocket but the satisfaction of eating something that you have grown and processed is so rewarding. My husband is probably sick of hearing me say, "I grew that!". The since of pride that it brings is addicting.
